Priss 07 - Elven Mr. Johnson by ToraAndKyoko Priss 07 - Elven Mr. Johnson by ToraAndKyoko
Okay - I know, this is a risky posting. Sheīs done in Copics and the background is one of my photographs, slightly altered in Photoshop. The original is only 5 inches x 3 inches or so (I usually use metric). I love lace. Unfortunately my scanner does only 1200dpi and this is the best result I can come up with technically.

Feel free to comment - I am still not sure if I am getting this Manga-thing right... :)

For those of you who donīt know the RPG Shadowrun: "Mr. Johnson" is always the person who hires the party of Shadowrunners to do some dirtwork for him/her. It does not matter if Mr. Johnson is male or female. It only indicates, that this is the person who pays you for doing a certain job. This elve has a very good reason to hire some runners in the very near future, as you can see... :)

Yes - the old school RPG. They have a brand new edition out and I got the latest rulebook as a present for my birthday. Unfortunately all my co-players from back then are now far too "mature" for this kind of sharing time :(

But as I still have this fascination for the game I have thought about what would happen, if my character I played back then (Priss) would have aged and developed with me - the result is a comicstory I am preparing for with these drawings. Iīve got the rough story and a storyboard on the first three chapters in pencil. I guess, I will continue doing some more drawings of the featuring characters and as soon as I have my party together, I will get serious :)

I remember playing it back in about '97 - '98. I was always more into R Talsorian's Cyberpunk 2020 though. Most of my characters from that ended up starring or featuring in graphic novels and webcomics in succeeding years...I always found RPGs such a great proving ground for character and story ideas :D

He he...well i started gaming in '92, and stopped ( due to family & other commitments ) in '02. It was a highly creative hobby, I found, and gave me so many ideas as an artist ( ! ) and a writer...

I wish I would find a group of people again. My wife does play, but itīs more fun with four or five people (I guess, I am telling you nothing new). My characters gave me so much joy that I always had some sort of feeling that I owe them a little more attention. Thatīs the motivation behind my stories.

Know how you feel. I enjoyed all the groups I was in, some more than others. It was always fun to look out for the RPG stereotypes...

-the Powerplayer...gotta have the BIGGEST gun! The BEST stats! The HIGHEST damage!
-the Rules Lawyer..."Eh, I believe if you look at page 137, paragraph 4 of the GM's manual you'll find it's actually..."
-the Stereotyper...who always plays the same character no matter the setting or gameworld

etc. etc ! Worst thing was when these guys were my friends...yeh, good times :D

*lol* - and you know what? I donīt fit that scheme! :)

Priss is a prostitute with no special powers whatsoever. While gaming the first sessions, she was always the first one down, because she couldnīt take damage. But because I was the only one with proper pictures in the group, the male gamers started protecting her - and because she had a SIN and made big money, she was able to buy all the nice jewellery and clothing (instead of guns, armour or cyberware). Priss even had a membership in a gym *lol*
I miss playing her - she always got the others in trouble and while they were trying to get out in one piece, Priss was taken away by DocWaggon, because she could afford the platin-contract... *lol*

I canīt wait to continue drawing this story, now... :)
